Osprey Wings (La Ronge) - a family-run Canadian charter carrier servicing northern Saskatchewan - is up for sale, according to an online listing.

According to CBC News, the ageing owners, Gary and Bonnie Thompson, both 82, have decided to sell the company they started in the late 1960s but are hoping someone will take over where they are leaving off.

The company was not immediately available for comment.

According to the online listing on Colliers, Osprey Air is a critical component of Saskatchewan’s transportation system, providing charter services for a wide variety of users with a strong focus on continued fleet and base investment and staff retention.

Based at the Otter Lake water aerodrome near Missinipe in central Saskatchewan, Osprey Wings also maintains facilities in La Ronge and a smaller base in Points North Landing. The company provides services for fishing lodges, private cabins, canoeists, sightseeing, fire suppression, exploration, and surveying, amongst others. Many aircraft types were bought and sold over the years, which today have been narrowed down to DHC-2 Beavers, DHC-3 Turbo Otters, and DHC-6 Twin Otters on floats and skis.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the carrier owns one DHC-6-100 and one DHC-6-200.
