Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has ordered twelve incremental A220-300s in a fourth reorder of the type in as many years.

"These twelve additional A220 aircraft will help power our increasingly streamlined fleet while also providing our customers with the elevated in-flight experience they've come to expect from Delta," Vice President (Fleet) Kristen Bojko said.

The airline did not disclose the forecasted delivery timeline for the additional 12 aircraft.

The new order increases Delta's overall A220 order backlog to 119 aircraft, comprising forty-five A220-100s (all of which have already been delivered) and seventy-four A220-300s (of which the airline took fourteen so far). The carrier is already the largest operator of the A220 Family globally, and so far, no other operator has placed a larger order for the type.
