Southwind Airlines (2S, Antalya) took delivery of its first A321-200NX, its first new-build aircraft delivered directly from any manufacturer.
TC-GRE (msn 11039) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Antalya during January 20-21, 2023, in an all-white livery but has since been painted into the Turkish leisure carrier's livery. It has yet to be deployed into service but ch-aviation understands that its service entry has been slated for mid-February 2023.
Southwind is backed by Pegas Touristik tour operator and has thus far operated one A321-200 (9.2 years old) and two A330-200s (11.3 and 11.4 years old). All three aircraft were added second-hand and are owned by Air Lease Corporation, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.
