TAP Air Portugal (TP, Lisbon) has wet-leased a B767-300ER from fellow Portuguese carrier euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) to operate its African routes in April 2023 and then its service to Natal Aluizio Alves in May 2023, ch-aviation schedule analysis has revealed.

CS-TSU (msn 33048) has been operating for TAP since April 1, 2023, on 10x weekly services from Lisbon to Praia and the weekly route to Bissau (which euroAtlantic Airways also plies weekly under its own code).

On May 2, the aircraft will also start running three out of TAP's five weekly flights between Lisbon and Natal Aluizio Alves. The remaining two weekly services will continue to operate on the current Lisbon-Natal-Maceió Zumbi dos Palmares routing with A321-200NX(LR)s. The B767-operated flights will not continue to Maceió.

The wet lease is scheduled to continue through May 31, 2023. The B767 seats up to 16 passengers in business class and 251 in economy class. The Portuguese carrier's in-house widebody fleet comprises nineteen A330-900s, each seating up to 34 passengers in business class, 96 in economy premium, and 168 in economy. The ch-aviation fleets module shows the airline also operates twelve A321-200NX(LR)s, each capable of carrying 16 passengers in business class, 30 in economy premium, and 125 in economy. The long-range narrowbodies are deployed, among others, to destinations in Canada, the United States, and Brazil.
