Air Mauritius (MK, Mauritius) has confirmed its commitment for three A350-900s during the ongoing 2023 Paris Air Show, one more than previously ordered, bringing its total order backlog for the type from six to seven.
"Air Mauritius is proud to renew its confidence in Airbus and its products, continuing a three-decade-long partnership. The additional A350-900 aircraft will help us strengthen our European network and secure further growth in other markets. We are looking forward to achieving our ambition objectives together with Airbus," Chief Executive Kresimir Kučko said.
An announcement did not provide any further details regarding delivery dates only saying the airline would use the aircraft on its European and South Asian routes.
The ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module shows the state-owned carrier currently operates four A350-900s, two A330-900s, one A330-200 (with one more due shortly), and three ATR72-500s. It is recently tendered for an A320/A321 narrowbody.
