Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi) has announced that as part of the plans by its parent Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) to order additional A380-800s and A350-900s, it will assume the B787-9 order SIA had placed with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) in 2006. Scoot will replace its fleet of ex-Singapore Airlines B777-200ERs by 20 B787-9s that will be delivered between 2015 and 2017. it currently operates four B777-200ERs but gradually will add more aircraft as they are retired from its parent's fleet.
