Cyprus Airways (1947) (Larnaca) has reacted angrily to the seizure of its only A319-100, 5B-DCN (cn 2382), by Ηermes Airports, the firm that oversees Larnaca and Paphos Airports, over an outstanding EUR4million (USD5.4million) debt. According to the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, the seizure order was handed to airline officials by a court clerk, who also handed the same documents to Larnaca Airport management. Following a marathon meeting of the Hermes board, the jet is now being held as an asset by Hermes Airports, until proven in court that the airline has settled its debt.
