SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam) has secured a short-term leasing deal for three A320-200s Airfinance Journal has reported. The start-up is planning to enter the Saudi domestic market in Winter this year and is backed by Dammam-based Abdel Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani & Sons Group of Companies, with Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) a consultant. Rival Al Maha Airways (Riyadh), a subsidiary of Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International), plans to go live during the first half of 2014.
