SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) has confirmed to ch-aviation it will use London Heathrow as the United Kingdom base for its nascent SAS Scandinavian Airlines Ireland (London Heathrow) unit. SAS is expected to cede several of its seventeen daily Heathrow slots to the unit to facilitate its launch of flights to Scandinavia.

As previously reported, SAS Scandinavian Airlins Ireland will begin flights to Scandinavia from both Malaga and London Heathrow towards year-end when its AOC certification process is expected to be completed.
