S7 Group has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (Zhukovsky) for the planned purchase of up to seventy-five 75-seater AC!SU7 variants.

According to a press release, the tentative order, which is expected to be firmed later this summer, includes fifty firm SSJ 100/75s with options for twenty-five more. Deliveries are to begin in 2022 with S7 to be the variant's launch operator.

Sukhoi indicates the aircraft will be produced with as many Russian-manufactured parts as possible, a play to appeal to as many international customers as possible given US restrictions on dealings with Iran in particular.

S7's general director Vladimir Obedkov has previously told Russian media outlets that the SSJ 100/75 would be used to replace S7 Airlines' current fleet of seventeen E170s.
