Virgin Atlantic (VS, London Heathrow) has closed bookings for its London Gatwick-Las Vegas Harry Reid service for flights after March 31, 2019, Routesonline has reported. The service will be replaced with a new route operated out of London Heathrow.

Virgin Atlantic currently flies to Las Vegas 7x weekly using B747-400 equipment. From March 31, 2019, the carrier will launch a new 7x weekly service out of London's largest gateway which will be operated with B787-9 aircraft.

According to the ch-aviation capacity module, British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) currently flies to Las Vegas out of both of its London's hubs - 10x weekly out of Heathrow, using B747-400 aircraft, and 3x weekly out of Gatwick, using B777-200 equipment.

Norwegian UK (London Gatwick) is also set to launch a service out of London Gatwick to Las Vegas on October 29, 2018. The 2x weekly route will be operated with B787-9 aircraft.
