Western Air Bahamas (WU, Nassau International) has announced it will shortly be adding its first jet equipment in the form of E145s.

The Bahamian carrier said in a statement that it would be acquiring at least one of the Embraers "shortly".

The family-owned carrier currently operates seven Saab 340As on scheduled passenger flights connecting the Bahamian towns of Nassau International, Bimini International, Congo Town, Freeport International, and San Andros. It also offers corporate and tourist charters throughout the Bahamas, the Caribbean, including Haiti and Cuba, as well as South America.
