GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) has taken delivery of its first B737-8 following the handing over of PR-XMA (msn 43986) on Thursday, June 28.

It has a total of 120 B737 MAX 8s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). According to its 1Q18 projections, the Brazilian LCC plans to add a total of five B737 MAX 8s to its fleet in 2018, eight in 2019, eight in 2020, 13 in 2021, and nine in 2022.

Gol plans to use the MAX's operational range to expand its network coverage to include all of Latin America, the Caribbean, and even destinations in the southeastern United States.

Gol currently operates twenty-six B737-700s and ninety-one B737-800s on scheduled flights covering 68 cities across Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Florida (US), Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Suriname, and Uruguay.
