Volga-Dnepr Group has firmed up options with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for five B747-8(F)s. Announced during the 2018 Farnborough Air Show, sister firm CargoLogicHolding also signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for twenty-nine B777-Fs.

Both firms have also agreed to partner Boeing in exploring B767 and B737 production line/P2F converted freighters as well.

"CargoLogicAir, part of CargoLogicHolding, started its business by flying 747 scheduled and charter flights to and from the UK. We are excited to extend the network using a range of Boeing family aircraft including B747-8F, 777F, 767F and B737-800BCF," Alexey Isaykin, the President of Volga-Dnepr Group and Chairman of CargoLogicHolding, said.

Volga-Dnepr Group operates across four AOCs including Volga-Dnepr Airlines, AirBridgeCargo, and Atran in Russia as well as CargoLogicAir in the United Kingdom. It is also in the process of establishing a German subsidiary to ensure European Union-based operations beyond Brexit.

Operationally, the Group is an existing Boeing customer. While Volga-Dnepr Airlines employs Antonov Design Bureau and Ilyushin Design Bureau freighters exclusively, AirBridge Cargo operates five B747-400(ERF)s, two -400(FSCD)s, and eleven -8(F)s, Atran operates three B737-400(F)s, and CargoLogicAir operates one B747-400(FSCD), one -400(ERF), and one -8(F).
