Cayman Airways (KX, Grand Cayman Island) took delivery of its maiden B737-8, VP-CIW (msn 63809), on November 29, 2018.

The aircraft is on dry-lease from Air Lease Corporation and is the first of the total order of four. The maiden MAX for Cayman Airways has not yet been repositioned from Seattle Boeing Field, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.

The airline will use the four MAX 8s to replace three B737-300s and a single B737-800 it currently operates. Deliveries are scheduled to continue through mid-2020.

According to the schedules data at hand, Cayman Airways will deploy B737 MAX 8s from Grand Cayman Island to Denver International from March 2, 2019. No other flights for the type have so far been published in its schedules, which suggests that the available data is incomplete.

Besides the Boeing jets, Cayman Airways also operates two DHC-6-300s and two Saab 340B(Plus) turboprops through its subsidiary Cayman Airways Express.
