SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam) is planning to cancel a 2014 order for sixteen A220-300s, Arabian Business has reported citing sources familiar with developments.

According to the report, the purchase has been replaced with one for ten A320neo jets announced in November last year the sources said. The conversion was not disclosed at the time the new deal was revealed.

Neither the carrier nor Airbus/C Series Aircraft responded for comment.

SaudiGulf Airlines operates six A320ceo on flights connecting Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah International, Abha, and Dammam locally as well as Dubai International and Islamabad International, Sialkot, Lahore International, and Karachi International internationally. Two of the aircraft are wet-leased from BH Air - Balkan Holidays Air (8H, Sofia).
