royalair philippines (RW, Angeles City Clark International) has added a maiden A319-100 in the form of an ex-Lanmei Airlines (LQ, Phnom Penh) unit, msn 2784, formerly XU-983.

The 13-year-old unit is leased from Carlyle Aviation Partners and has been re-registered as RP-C9368. It operated a demo flight in royalair's livery from Angeles City Clark International to Cebu and Davao prior to returning to Clark on June 28, 2019, Skyliner Aviation has reported. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows that the Airbus unit was retired by the Cambodian carrier on May 30, 2019.

royalair philippines currently operates three active ARJ-100s on a predominantly domestic network out of Cebu and Clark. The airline also operates scheduled flights to Macau International and Shantou in mainland China.

The Filipino carrier has yet to schedule any A319 flights.

Following the transfer of the A319, Lanmei Airlines continues to operate a further two units of the type, as well as two A320-200s and two A321-200s.
