Volaris El Salvador (N3, San Salvador International) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, an A320-200 N523VL (msn 6014), formerly in service with parent carrier Volaris (Y4, México City International).

According to Flightradar24 ADS-b data, the 5.51-year-old aircraft was ferried to San Salvador International on Tuesday, August 20.

Despite having secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the El Salvadoran civil aviation authority (Autoridad de Aviación Civil - AAC) in June this year, Volaris El Salvador has yet to begin commercial flight operations.

However, at the time, the AAC said the start-up's inaugural route would be a 2x daily San Salvador International-Guatemala City return service.

Once active, it will be Volaris's second foreign AOC after its already active Volaris Costa Rica (Q6, San José Juan Santamaría) subsidiary.
