Azman Air (AZM, Kano) has announced it has acquired its first widebody jet to be used on international routes as well as Hajj and Umrah charters.

In a statement, the Nigerian carrier said it had secured A340-600 2-EALJ (msn 765), formerly G-VYOU with Virgin Atlantic, from European Aviation for an unspecified sum. It did not disclose when delivery would take place.

Azman Air operates an all-Boeing fleet entailing two B737-300s and four B737-500s. It currently serves the following Nigerian cities and towns: Lagos, Abuja, Asaba, Benin City, Birmin Kebbi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri, Owerri, and Port Harcourt Awolowo.
