Lübeck Air (Hamburg Luebeck) took delivery of its first aircraft on August 17, 2020, following the arrival of ATR72-500 SE-MDB (msn 822) on charter from Air Alsie (6I, Sønderborg).

The 11.9-year-old ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop is owned by Erik Thun Group and was previously operated by BRA - Braathens Regional Airways (TF, Trollhättan). It was ferried from Sønderborg to Lubeck on July 21, 2020. The aircraft was retired by BRA on December 1, 2019, and was subsequently stored at Sønderborg airport from January 12 to June 25, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It was later repainted into Lubeck Air's livery at Maastricht airport.

Since its arrival in Germany, the aircraft has been operating domestic test flights.

Air Alsie operates a further two ATR72-500s on behalf of its subsidiary Alsie Express (Sønderborg). One of these aircraft plies the carrier's scheduled routes from Sønderborg to Copenhagen Kastrup and Rønne, while the other one is only active on ad-hoc charters.

Air Alsie also plans to charter an ATR72-500 to another German virtual start-up, Green Airlines (Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden), due to launch on October 31, 2020.
