Croatia Airlines (OU, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) is planning to expand its secondary base at Split airport during the upcoming peak summer season with one A319-100 and one DHC-8-Q400 based out of the airport in addition to other aircraft operating W-flights to European destinations.

The airline said it would operate 19 international routes out of Split in June 2022, including flights to Amsterdam Schiphol, Athens, Berlin Brandenburg International, Bucharest Henri Coanda, Copenhagen Kastrup, Dublin International, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt International, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Lyon St. Exupéry, Paris CDG, Prague Václav Havel, Milan Malpensa, Munich, Rome Fiumicino, Vienna, Stockholm Arlanda, and Zurich. The ch-aviation capacities module shows that throughout June, Croatia Airlines will proffer 37,808 scheduled departure seats from Split, compared to 82,204 from its main base at Zagreb Franjo Tuđman airport. It will also proffer 26,690 seats from Dubrovnik where it does not have a base.

The carrier will also resume its seasonal route from Zagreb to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion on June 3. The weekly service was launched in the summer 2019 season but did not resume in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Flights operated with A320-200s will be Croatia Airlines' only scheduled service to the Middle East/Asia.
