Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK) has launched operations on behalf of Kuehne+Nagel, the world's largest freight forwarder, executing an agreement signed in February.

N862GT (msn 67149), the world's penultimate new B747-8F, began operating on behalf of the Swiss freight forwarder on November 30, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It currently flies to Anchorage Ted Stevens, Chicago O'Hare, Hanoi Noi Bai International, Hong Kong International, and Seoul Incheon.

The aircraft will later be joined by the very last B747 aircraft ever to be built, N863GT (msn 67150).

The parties said that the charter agreement was "long term" but did not reveal the exact length.

On top of its own flights and a substantial number of military contracts, Atlas Air operates freighters on behalf of a number of forwarders and shipping companies, including one B777-200F (with three more due in 2023) for ENT!MSCC, two B747-400FSCDs on behalf of FedEx, two B747-400FSCDs for Qantas Freight, and three B747-400(LCF) Dreamlifters on behalf of Boeing.
