SkyWork Airlines (Bern) investor Daniel Borer has acquired a 14% in Bern airport operator Alpar from Swiss (LX, Zurich) with a group of other investors and has asked for an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to appoint a new board of directors as Borer and like minded investors now are said to control a majority of the shares in Alpar according to Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag. SkyWork Airlines (Bern) currently operates three DHC-8-400s and five Do328-100s on regional services from the airport and is its largest customer. In other news, SkyWork plans to offer its first service from Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH from next summer season when its plans to introduce a weekly seasonal Do328-110 service from the airport to Elba Island.
