Elit'Avia International (MA, Malta International) has added a first Global 6500, ch-aviation research shows.

The 5.6-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft, 9H-ARK (msn 60011), became active under Elit'Avia International's 'EAU' code on June 4, flying between Berlin Brandenburg, where it had been stored since 2022, and Vienna.

It joins other Global-series aircraft in Elit'Avia International's fleet, including two Global 5000s, a Global 6000, and a Global 7500. The company also operates a Falcon 7X, which was inducted in March 2025, a G450, a GVII-G500, a G550, three G650s, and a B747-400(BDSF) on behalf of Dubai-based cargo customer Mesk Air.

Elit'Avia International SM also operates Global-family jets, namely, a Global Express XRS and a Global 7500, while Elit'Avia Americas does not operate any Global aircraft.

The newly added Global 6500 was previously operated by Emperor Aviation (EMM, Malta International). Now idle, the company was sanctioned by the United States Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in 2022 due to ties with Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, closely linked to President Vladimir Putin, and in particular his daughter, Gulnara Kerimova. 9H-ARK was one of eight aircraft embargoed by OFAC between 2022 and 2024, when Emperor Aviation was removed from the sanctions list.

Of the remaining seven previously sanctioned aircraft, G650 9H-SSK (msn 6195) is also now registered to Elit'Avia International, although it has not flown since being parked at Hannover in 2022. Another G650, now 9H-JKA (msn 6356), is operated by Gestair Aviation Malta. The other five jets, a Challenger 650, a Global Express XRS, two Global 5000s, and a Citation XLS+, remain inactive and have been stored since 2022 at various locations, including Belgrade Nikola Tesla, Cologne/Bonn, Dubai World Central, and Vienna.
