Sundown Jet (San Fernando, AR) has launched Gulfstream Aerospace operations with the addition of a G550, the company announced on social media.
The 21.2-year-old aircraft, registered in the United States as N521GV (msn 5021), is configured for up to 14 passengers. It ferried between Fort Lauderdale Executive and San Fernando, AR on August 12, having left Wilkesboro, where it was based, on August 4. It was previously one of two G550s operated by evangelical Christian organisation Samaritan's Purse (NSP, Boone, NC). It is not yet known whether the aircraft will be reregistered in Argentina.
The G550 joins two Bombardier Business Aircraft in Sundown Jet's fleet, a Learjet 45(XR) and a Learjet 45XR. The company's website also lists two Beech (twin turboprop)s, namely a King Air B200 and a King Air B350, as well as a Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravan.
Sundown Jet provides executive charter, aircraft management, and fractional ownership services.
Currently, two G550s are registered in Argentina, one managed by Excel Servicios Aéreos and another commercially operated by Pacific Ocean. Additionally, three older GVs remain active, one with Baires Fly and two with Flyzar, all available for charter.
