EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International) will add three A350-900s through a sale-and-leaseback agreement with BOC Aviation, with deliveries scheduled to begin this year. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the aircraft will be taken under long-term operating and finance leases. CEO Ahmed Adel described the deal as a "historic first Airbus A350 aircraft financing for EgyptAir, which marks a new chapter in our airline’s history". The carrier does not yet operate the type but has firm purchase orders with Airbus for sixteen A350-900s, according to ch-aviation fleets data.
