Dan Air (DN, Bucharest Baneasa) has postponed plans to launch a Bucharest Henri Coanda-Aleppo route, initially scheduled to begin on December 14, 2025, citing mandatory European regulations. "We will dedicate the allocated capacity for Aleppo to increase capacity from Damascus in the future in order to connect even more European capitals with Syria’s economic centre," the airline said. It currently operates 2x weekly between Bucharest and Damascus, and would have become the first EU carrier to serve Aleppo after the end of the Syrian civil war.
