Jazeera Airways (J9, Kuwait) will become the first carrier to operate scheduled passenger flights out of Amman City Airport (Amman Marka) following its recertification for such services. The Kuwaiti low-cost carrier plans to debut the flights in January 2026, once the necessary technical preparations are completed. The flights will compliment its existing 2x daily service from Kuwait to Amman Queen Alia.

Amman City Airport was the city's main passenger gateway until 1983. It has since been used as a general aviation, government, and military facility. It was recertified for passenger operations in early December 2025 and will serve as a secondary airport in Amman, primarily targeting low-cost carriers.
