The Air Force of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Force Aérienne du Congo (Kinshasa N'Djili)) is deploying an E145 formerly operated by Mont Gabaon Airlines (Goma), according to ch-aviation research.
Mont Gabaon Airlines bought the 50-seater Embraer twinjet, now registered as 9T-TEA (msn 145497), from Kenya's ALS - Aircraft Leasing Services in 2025, where it was registered as 5Y-CRZ. The 9T registration is reserved for military aircraft in the DRC, while 9S-registrations are used for civilian aircraft.
The 24.3-year-old aircraft was first delivered to Chautauqua Airlines in 2001 and flew with Shuttle America from 2014 before ALS acquired it in 2018.
ch-aviation has contacted Mont Gabaon Airlines for comment.
According to ch-aviation research, the DRC Air Force operates an additional Embraer regional jet, E135 9T-TEB (msn 145288), and one B737-900(BBJ), T7-RDC (msn 37560). According to ch-aviation data, the fleet also includes one An-12AP, one B727-100, two B727-100Cs, one B737-200C, one CN-235-10, one DC-8-50(F), and one Il-76TD.
Meanwhile, Mont Gabaon Airlines wet-leases a single A320-200 from Kenya's Freedom Airline Express for domestic DRC services, while its in-house fleet is grounded, including one ATR72-500, one ATR72-500(F), and one B737-300(SF). The status of its sole B737-500 is uncertain as it cannot be tracked on ADS-B data.
