Sun PhuQuoc Airways (9G, Hanoi Noi Bai International) will launch its first international route on March 29, 2026, connecting Phu Quoc with Taipei Taoyuan. Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration authorised the airline to launch the route on January 5.
The start-up will not have a direct competitor on the route; however, it will be the ninth airline to offer flights between Taiwan and Viet Nam in total, based on ch-aviation schedules data.
Following the Taipei launch, the carrier plans to expand its international footprint in the early part of the second quarter of 2026 with services to Busan, Singapore Changi, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, and Hong Kong International. Flights to Mumbai International, Delhi International, and Kaohsiung are to follow by the third quarter.
In December 2025, ch-aviation reported that the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam upgraded Sun PhuQuoc Airways's AOC, enabling the airline to operate international flights across Asia from March 2026.
Domestically, the airline currently operates up to 5x daily flights between Phu Quoc and Hanoi Noi Bai International and 7x daily to Ho Chi Minh City. It will add a daily service to Da Nang and 4x weekly flights to Nha Trang Cam Ranh starting March 15. The carrier also intends to operate trunk routes connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang from May 2026.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways expects to operate a fleet of nine aircraft by February 2026. According to ch-aviation fleets data, the start-up operates a fleet of two A321-200s and three A321-200NX.
