GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) will launch 4x weekly non-stop flights between Asunción and Miami International starting in June 2026, the airline announced in a statement.
It will be Paraguay’s first and only direct route to the United States, as well as the longest B737-8 non-stop flight in the world, at approximately 6,154 kilometres and taking around eight hours.
Earlier in the year, Paraguay’s Asunción International was approved by the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to have non-stop operations to and from the US.
As of February 2026, GOL connects Asunción with São Paulo Guarulhos and Rio de Janeiro International in Brazil. The airport is also served by 12 other scheduled carriers: Aerolíneas Argentinas, avianca airlines, avianca cargo, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, BoA - Boliviana de Aviación, Flybondi, Paranair, Air Europa, Copa Airlines, JetSMART, LATAM Airlines, and Air Class Líneas Aéreas.
