Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) will replace sister carrier Thai AirAsia X (XJ, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) on direct flights between Bangkok Don Mueang and Seoul Incheon from May 1, 2026, ch-aviation schedules data shows. The transition involves a switch from A330-300 to A320-200N jets. The route will maintain a daily frequency, although the LCC had indicated plans to eventually fly 2x daily between Bangkok and Seoul. The low-cost carrier has no further plans to assume widebody routes due to the range limitations of its narrowbody aircraft.

Separately, Thai AirAsia plans to grow its domestic market share from 40% to 45% and add four to five aircraft during 2026.
