Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) will replace sister carrier Thai AirAsia X (XJ, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) on direct flights between Bangkok Don Mueang and Seoul Incheon from May 1, 2026, ch-aviation schedules data shows. The transition involves a switch from A330-300 to A320-200N jets. The route will maintain a daily frequency, although the LCC had indicated plans to eventually fly 2x daily between Bangkok and Seoul. The low-cost carrier has no further plans to assume widebody routes due to range limitations of its narrowbody aircraft.
Separately, Thai AirAsia plans to grow its domestic market share from 40% to 45% and add four to five aircraft within 2026.
