Comlux Aruba (CS, Aruba) has added Comlux Aviation's first Global 8000, the company announced on social media. This marks the first aircraft of the type registered in Aruba.
The factory-new ultra-long-range jet, P4-8000 (msn 70250), departed Bombardier Business Aircraft's Montréal Trudeau production facilities on March 16 for Gander. According to a LinkedIn post by Giorgio La Pira, lead captain for humanitarian aid company Solidaire, the jet conducted base training there before returning to Montréal Trudeau. Two days later, the aircraft flew to Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini.
Comlux Aviation confirmed to ch-aviation that this Global 8000 is a separate unit compared to another ordered in late 2025 and scheduled for delivery in 2026. Unlike that aircraft, which will be available for charter and based in Dubai, the newly inducted jet will be exclusively managed.
The Global 8000 joins an ACJ320-200N, a B767-200ER, and a B787-8 in Comlux Aruba's managed fleet. The B787-8, configured for up to 237 passengers, is based at Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini and operated on behalf of Solidaire, flying humanitarian missions.
Solidaire was founded by Argentine-Italian film actor Enrique Piñeyro and Carla Calabrese. Piñeyro is also an aeronautical physician and former airline pilot.
Across the wider Comlux Aviation group, Comlux Aviation Malta operates two Global 6000s and a Global 6500, the latter available for charter. Both Comlux Aviation Malta and Comlux KZ manage a range of other aircraft manufactured by Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Pilatus Aircraft.
Only two other Global 8000s are currently active worldwide. One is Canadian-registered, delivered as the world’s first Global 8000, and the other is a 2021-built jet registered in Australia, the first Global 7500 upgraded to a Global 8000 under a Bombardier service bulletin.
