Russia’s federal air transport regulator (Rosaviatsia) has restricted the air operator’s certificate (AOC) of Izhavia (I8, Izhevsk) on April 30, 2026. The decision to limit the certificate’s validity was made after a two-week inspection revealed violations regarding aircraft maintenance, safety management, and staff scheduling. The airline has until July 28, 2026, to rectify the violations, but can and will continue normal operations in the meanwhile.
Izhavia’s owner, the government of Udmurtia, is currently in search of investors to support a strategic privatisation of the carrier before the end of 2026.
