North Star Air (Ontario) (0N, Thunder Bay) has been awarded a CAD500,000 (USD365,000) subsidy to reestablish scheduled passenger services from Fort Frances in western Ontario. The airline will connect the city to Thunder Bay, although the schedule has yet to be finalised. The city government approved the aid unanimously, acknowledging that it falls short of the total projected costs, and the airline will have to bear some commercial risk. Fort Frances has not had scheduled passenger flights since Perimeter Aviation terminated its flights in May 2024.
