Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) has commenced a scheduled direct service linking Addis Ababa International and the newly upgraded Debre Markos airport, media outlet Addis Insight reported on May 16, 2026. The state-owned carrier is the sole operator serving the domestic airport, utilising a DHC-8-Q400 turboprop on the route. The service follows a broader domestic infrastructure strategy announced by the carrier in February 2026, which included new links to Neghelli and Gore.
