FlyGabon (J7, Libreville Leon M'Ba) expects to resume full service after three aircraft were out of action over the weekend, including one AOG in Lagos.

In a statement, FlyGabon acknowledged the "unexpected fleet disruption affected part of the airline's flight schedule and impacted several hundred passengers". Neither the aircraft involved, nor the reasons for the disruptions were disclosed, but the airline said it rebooked 118 passengers, chartered an additional aircraft, and provided hotel accommodation and meals for 263 passengers.

On inquiry, a company spokesman said the aircraft were grounded for unrelated routine maintenance issues at different locations involving different maintenance providers and delays in bringing spares and tooling, adding that two had already returned to service and the third was expected back on July 2.

ADS-B data shows that TR-ABX (msn 1629), an ATR72-600, returned to service on June 30 after it appeared to have missed flights from June 22 until June 30, affecting domestic and several regional services.

One A320-200, ZS-GAB (msn 2167) wet-leased from Global Aviation Operations appeared to have been AOG in Lagos. The airline also wet-leases one CRJ900 from CemAir.

According to ADS-B data, of FlyGabon's in-house fleet, ATR72-600, TR-ABW (msn 1646), has been in Sofia (Bulgaria) since June 10.
