Air Peace (P4, Lagos) claims to have lost about USD42 million in revenue after repeated aircraft damage caused by groundhandling companies, with three aircraft seriously damaged in the past 12 months. The Nigerian carrier said Skyway Aviation Handling Company and Nigerian Aviation Handling Company damage its aircraft about twice a year on average. Air Peace said the handlers had agreed to pay USD3.8 million and USD3.2 million, respectively, to repair two of the damaged aircraft, but not to compensate for lost revenue.
