Toki Air (BV, Niigata) will operate ATR42-600 charter flights between Niigata and Fukui on September 8 and 10, 2026, following two demonstration flights conducted during financial year 2025, which ended in March 2026. The flights will be Fukui's first charters in 17 years. Scheduled services to the airport have been suspended for about 50 years. Fukui is located around 30 kilometres away from the larger Komatsu airport, which is served by nine passenger and cargo airlines.
