WestJet (WS, Calgary) has signed a dry lease commitment for thirteen B737-10s from the existing order book of Aviation Capital Group. The parties did not disclose the tentative delivery schedule, underlining that the type first needs to be certified. "Shifting deliveries to the B737-10 is a strategic step that helps ensure we have the right aircraft in our fleet to serve our guests reliably over the long term," said the CFO and executive vice-president of WestJet Group, Mike Scott. The Canadian airline has a direct order for ninety-six B737-10s from Boeing.
