Ireland is set to axe or amend its long-postponed 32-million-passenger cap at Dublin International, after the Dublin Airport (Passenger Capacity) Act 2026 was signed into law on July 16, 2026. The cap has long been opposed by numerous airlines and the lobby group Airlines for America (A4A). A European Court of Justice ruling on the matter is still pending. Dublin airport hosted just under 37 million passengers in 2025.
