Riyadh Air (RX, Riyadh) has placed an order for 28 incremental B787s from Boeing, including eight B787-9s and twenty B787-10s, as well as six incremental A350-1000s.
The Boeing commitment comprises 17 converted options and 11 entirely new orders, while the Airbus deal consists entirely of converted options. The carrier did not disclose delivery timelines for any of the types.
The airline previously ordered thirty-nine B787-9s (of which six have been delivered so far), but had no orders for the -10 variant. It also had a preexisting order for twenty-five A350-1000s, of which none have been delivered so far.
