Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) has secured immediate US authority to broaden its scheduled and charter operations while its application for an amended foreign air carrier permit awaits final approval. Granted on August 19, 2026, the exemption covers "passenger, cargo and mail services from points behind Fiji via Fiji and intermediate points to the US and beyond". It also allows cargo and mail services between the US and other points. The authority is valid for two years or until the amended permit takes effect.

According to ch-aviation, Fiji Airways currently serves four US destinations: Dallas/Fort Worth, Honolulu, Los Angeles International, and San Francisco. The current US-Fiji air transport agreement entered into force in 2024.
