A critical Jet A-1 shortage at Nadi airport, following the rejection of a contaminated fuel shipment, has disrupted flight operations, with most operators required to tanker fuel into Fiji until at least August 31, 2026. Only Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) and customers contracted with local fuel supplier Petro Oceania Energy are exempt from the tankering requirement. Non-scheduled flights must uplift fuel at an alternate airport, while medical evacuation flights are exempt.
