The New South Wales (NSW) government is investing an additional AUD15 million Australian dollars (USD10.7 million) under the 2026-27 State Budget in Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) to support the delivery of several aeromedical services. The allocation is in addition to existing NSW state funding for the RFDS.

The RFDS will continue to transport medical teams to remote locations across New South Wales, as well as conduct non-emergency and inter-hospital transfers out of Dubbo and Broken Hill. The division responsible for operations in New South Wales is the South Eastern Section, whose fleet currently comprises 14 King Air Beech (twin turboprop)s, including ten B200s and four B350s.
