BermudAir (2T, Bermuda) will introduce cargo operations with a leased E190(F), the airline announced in a press release. The move will also mark the first deployment of the variant in the Americas.
“Cargo is a natural next step for us,” said CEO Adam Scott. “We've built a reliable, right-sized operation connecting Bermuda and the Caribbean to North America, and the E190(F) lets us put that same network to work moving express cargo, supporting local businesses, e-commerce, and time-sensitive freight across the islands we serve,” he added.
The aircraft will be one of five ordered for conversion by lessor Regional One from the standard passenger E190 configuration. Freighter conversions of E190s started in 2024, with full European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification in early 2025.
BermudAir will become only the second operator of the variant. According to ch-aviation data, the sole operator of E190(F)s is currently Bridges Air Malta. The Maltese operator has two E190(F)s, the first of which entered into service in March 2026.
BermudAir’s freighter plans are subject to regulatory review and approval. The carrier’s fleet currently comprises two E175s and two E190s, ch-aviation data shows. It recently ordered ten A220-300s.
ch-aviation has reached out to both BermudAir and Regional One over the expected delivery timeline.
In July, the lessor Azorra agreed to purchase twenty E190(F) aircraft from Embraer, with an option for 10 more aircraft of the variant.
