Laser Airlines (QL, Caracas Simón Bolivar) is expected to replace its remaining four DC-9-30s by a total of five ex-American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) MD-82s it is currently preparing to add to its fleet. Laser already operates five MD-81s as the airline with the largest remaining active fleet of MD-81s in the world. It only operates domestically in Venezuela.
