Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna) has announced that it will give up its route from Vienna to Altenrhein from March 30. It currently up to three daily DHC-8-400 services on the route operated by subsidiary Tyrolean Airways (Innsbruck). This decision marks the end of a two year battle between AUA and Altenrhein airport operator People's Airgroup which had launched People's Viennaline (Altenrhein) to compete on the route following disagreements over frequency cuts by Austrian back in 2010. People's will continue to offer up to three daily E170 services on the route that mainly caters to demand between Austrian state Vorarlberg and Vienna.
