Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar) is set to resume operations to Merida Alberto Carnevalli Airport from August 1 after the completion of runway and control tower overhaul works. Following a successful test flight earlier this week, the Venezuelan carrier says it will resume twice weekly scheduled operations to the airport using an E190. Avior Airlines (9V, Barcelona José Antonio Anzoategui) has also expressed an interest in resuming service with "at least one flight a day".
