Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey) is currently trialling the Do228 twin turboprop as a potential replacement to for its current fleet of seven Trislanders, set to be phased out next year. It is temporarily wet-leasing a Do228-200, CS-TGG (msn 8160), from Portuguese charter carrier, Aero Vip (Cascais). According to a BBC interview with CEO, Mark Darby, the Dornier is in use on Guernsey to Jersey flights and will also be deployed to Bristol International. Aurigny has already announced plans to acquire an E195 for use on its mainland UK-bound flights.
